Electric car charging

Although there has been a significant increase in the registration of new ultra-low emission vehicles a report out today from the Department for Transport, assessing public attitudes towards electric vehicles, highlights that price and recharging are a major factor deterring uptake.

Only 5% are thinking about buying but still not decided when.

16% had thought about buying but decided against

55% hadn’t really thought about it at all

This report is highlighting the considerable amount of work that needs to be done to change attitudes to the point of a positive buying decision.

At the moment the risk factors associated with buying a ULEV may just be too much.
